Where to Eat... |
|
Breakfast |
We had breakfast at Ink House Bed & Breakfast. Their breakfasts are superb, always served with fresh fruits and breads; and best of all, they are reasonably priced. |
Lunch |
Safari West has an on-site restaurant called the Savannah Cafe which offers delicious ranch-style barbecue meals. |
Dinner |
We bought delicious take out at the Oxbow Public Market and dined at its riverfront patio dining area where we enjoyed a breathtaking view of the water. |
What to Do... |
|
Morning |
Since we didn’t want to go on another wine tasting tour, we decided to go to the Napa River to enjoy what water activities and adventures Napa Valley has to offer. It didn’t disappoint us. We rented kayaks to really enjoy the area’s surrounding marshes. |
Afternoon |
After an exhilarating water adventure, we joined the Safari Tour. The tour takes you throughout the area between Calistoga and Santa Rosa. There, Safari West maintains over 400 acres of land that some 350 species of animals call home. The tour takes about 2½ hours, and is spent half in an open-air vehicle, and half on foot. It was very exciting! |
Evening |
That night we visited the Oxbow Public Market where we did some shopping and finally grabbed some delicious picnic takeout which we devoured in the riverfront patio dining area. |
